Hi, just wanted to say thanks for this... I've used it on and off for many years. As I get geared up to start programming on my new Sinclair Next whenever KS2 fullfills, I've been working to finish up a project me and a buddy started in 83' and still haven't quite finished - Donkey Kong. Yeah, its been done plenty, but good practice for our assembly coding skills. I'm finding it works great for the ZX81 at least. Any plans to support the Next at some point? PS, I'm on the newest version of win10 on the newest version of BootCamp on the newest 2020 27" imac (8 core/5700XT 16g/40GB ram). :)

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for continuing to develop EightyOne,

I'm maintaining a Google Spreadsheet of emulator features and had a few question on features which are listed but don't seem to function as I would expect. Apologies if I have missed mention of these previously.

Selecting QL Emulation results in the following:

Selecting TR-DOS emulation for the ZX Spectrum as shown below:

Just results in what appears to be the emulated system just resetting every couple of seconds.

Thanks

Peter

The QL emulation in EightyOne was never completed and as far as I know has never worked (I suspect the 68000 emulation but that is a guess). I've no idea about TR DOS, never tried to use that option.

If anyone wants to investigate these issues and propose fixes then the source is available.

Thanks for the information Paul.

I'm loving my Spectra Interface by the way!

Version 1.21 of EightyOne is now available:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/eighty ... -emulator/

It primarily introduces improvements and fixes to the facility to import BASIC listings from a text file.

Is working well

Are there any plans to fully support file names with a space in the name?

I was under the impression this was already supported, or have you seen a specific case where it does not work? If so could you provide details so that I can produce it and investigate.

Pretty impressive list!

Some emulators missing if you want to complete: NO$ZX (https://problemkaputt.de/zx.htm) and sz81 (http://sz81.sourceforge.net/)
