I don't think complete WINE would fit into the 66MB download archive. ;)
My WINE is installed and I wonder why WINE popped up after first start.

I installed wine.
No fun.
Then wine bottler. Again no fun.
Seems to be more difficult than other osx programs.

Maybe Sierra related stuff.
El Capitan works here ...
Did you reboot OS after installing WINE ?
Could maybe make a difference - not sure.

Sorry to say it worked for me out of the box on Sierra. I didn't install the pkg into applications though - I left it on my desktop. I don't know if this is significant.

No need to apologize for being successful.
Please PM me which pkg you installed and how.
I try to reproduce and if successful I post it here as a short manual.
Kind regards Paul

I find it amusing what it sometimes takes in the way of hardware and OS to emulate a vintage computer. You can't blame the authors, they're devolping for current platforms or the ones they choose to use themselves. But it's also a bit frustrating, being of a retro mind and still using older PPC Macs as my mainstays. Fer instance, I'm still using ZXSP 0.7.3 from 1995. Not a bad emulation by any means, but at 22 years old, is itself vintage. It does not include "extras" such as support for zxpand or memory in the 8k region to play with ML or Hi-Res stuff.

Is there anything newer, yet old enough to run on a PPC Mac with 10.4.11/Classic?

Thanks!

Maybe Darwine will let you run Eighty One. But Darwine has not been updated for many years, and Wine which is below Darwine requires quite some Terminal to work.

Not sure what the issue is with the EightyOne package I posted with some users. You might be running into Apple's security. Try running this command on the folder from the command line terminal after unpacking it then try running it again...

xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine Path_to_folder

Example: xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine /Applications/EightyOne

You could also try my other package, SZ81 for Mac: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8RnV ... zdWemtkRm8

It is a native Mac application, but still not signed. Sorry, but I'm not paying for a digital signature for a free application.
