In Heck, there are two options for perpetual torment:

Eat the Puckerberry and suffer for eternity:
drink nothing but a cocktail of The Last Dab and Mexican Cake blended and served with
habanero slices

If you still get the same issue with the latest version then try the following:
Under the Options menu, select TV Emulation and then try adjusting the vertical hold.

If you get other weird things going on after updating then delete the EightyOne.ini file, which will live in a path specific to your log-in user. You can find it by specifying the path %APPDATA%\EightyOne in Windows Explorer.

On a Windows 7 PC, I see a path like this:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\EightyOne\EightyOne.ini

But it may vary depending on your version of Windows. The folder is usually hidden by default and so you would need to configure Windows Explorer to show hidden files if you prefer to manually browse for the folder.
