Eightyone - using a joystick

Post by Spinnetti »

Hi all.

Eightone is my goto emulator (when not using the real thing). It has ZXpand support which I wanted to try out.
I plugged a joystick into my PC (Mac running bootcamp) and windows recognizes the controller and the buttons, but how do I get Eightyone to "see" it? (Zxpand flag is on, and it loads correctly) I don't have a Zxpand+ but am told our game is working properly with it, but would like to be able to test in emulation also.

Thoughts?

I don't think EightyOne supports Joystick.

Ah, thanks.. there's a checkbox that says it supports the zxpand.. too bad it doesn't pick that up... How can I contact/beg the maker of the zxpand to make some more? :)

Just to put this one to bed,

Sir Morris no longer takes part in this forum and is very unlikely to be back in the foreseeable future.
I am in fairly regular contact with him so will ask if any more spands are on the horizon. Other than that I believe messages can be left for him via his account on Sell My Retro.

Thank you... I hope he will be willing to make a few more. I'll commit to two - me and my buddy Don would both like one.
