JSzeddy Down?

Post by SafePit »

Is the JSzeddy site down? I'm getting a server can't be found error and I can't seem to resolve it's DNS anymore.

Oh, just a note a number of the images in the manual aren't showing. Getting a 403 forbidden.

While we're here - and that it's good to know JSZeddy is alive and well and very useful for assembling machine code - one thing still bugs me. Using its LOAD/SAVE feature, where does the virtual cassette file end up? The manual says...
JSZeddy manual wrote:Programs may be LOADed from and SAVEd to a virtual cassette as "localStorage", which is managed by the browser (similar to cookies, but it may occupy more space), and remains on the user's disk when the browser is closed. The space may be freed using the "Erase" button, or using the browser's settings.
I tried saving a short program using JSZeddy a while back, searched the entire HD for a file called "localStorage", and it returned nothing.

Local Storage is a feature of modern browsers. It stores data in the browser like a cookie, just bigger.

If you want to download a file you have saved inside the Local Storage in the JSZeddy webpage, you can use my guide here:

That was considerably less painful that I'd feared it might be. Well mown! You've earned yourself a black-and-white corned beef sandwich.
