However .... original machine would mean a soundfile.

Looks like I'm taking over the dining room table again.

She calls it 'playing on your computers'

I call it research!!! 😂😂😂

I altered the emulator to have the right IX and IY registers hoping it would solve a bug.

So far no solution, but the emulator emulates now closer to a real Z80.

I look forward to seeing a bug-free, complete version with manual and .0 file converter, that would be astonishing!

News Flash: I made some testing today, the emulator is MORE than good!!! 8-) 8-) 8-)
I found out that XTEN2TAP utility for DOS, which is used to convert .p ZX81 files to .tap for use with SP-2-ZX81 can also be used to convert .o ZX80 files for the same purpose, with SP-2-ZX80!!!
We just have to change the .o extension to .p before conversion and the resulting files are absolutely usable!! 8-)

So far I have tested a few games and they work like a charm, except:

-Mazogs: the problem previously reported by dr beep himself. It loads fine, displays starting screen etc. but then gets stuck forever on the Generating Maze wait screen... I'm sure we'll be able to play it in the next emulator version and indeed it feels smoother than the ZX81 Mazogs version!!! :o

-Double Breakout: it seems to load fine but upon RUN it garbles part of the screen and never runs...

-QS Defender: gets stuck for a while upon the RUN command and then resets the Spectrum. This is the only side scrolling space-shooter game I know of for the ZX80 and it's rather good, pity it doesn't run properly...

Most advanced and playable games, like both Darkstars, Kong and Pacman work flawlessly!!! Later I'll check more of the titles I don't know at all!
Included here are all the games I've tested so far (plus XTEN2TAP and a snapshot of the emulator with TAPE loading enabled), for anyone who'd like to try these (or more) out!
