1K HiRes - Locomotion

Post by RWAP »

I have just tried this new game from Dr Beep - there is no stopping him now is there...

An excellent game although the initial confused screen is slightly off putting until you realise to press SPACE.

A nice logic puzzle, which takes quick thinking as well as a little luck(!) - actually very addictive!

Just been playing for an hour - I thought it was 10 minutes. That's the mark of a good game!

I am working on nr. 20 right now. No details yet, I must try the idea first.
After that I want to take a look on all 20 once again and I will make them
- all better in display (100% ok on the screen, no strange characters etc)
- all 48K compatible (some games don't run on 48K reason is known)
- add ZXPAND support where possible if not already added.

After that I will try to make a rerelease on tape with Cronosoft for all 20.

The screen is used to store data and replace that data to sysvar-area. The waiting for space also is a random trigger to generate
different screens each time you start the game. When the game would autostart the first time not only would you always get the same
game the first time, but you must start directrly after loading as well.
The use of the screen for initialization will be done more often when possible (the 48K fix, setting of IX, starting MC all code just needed once)
A nice logic puzzle, which takes quick thinking as well as a little luck(!) - actually very addictive!
The really hard once are the one with just 1 left or 1 right bending corner. You need to set a track and double use the corner to get back.

Just a thought - but why not offer them on an SD card to go with the ZXpand ? :)
