I understand that's some device for ZX81 You want to make for celebrating the 30th year of the ZX81.sirmorris wrote:Some of this hopefully!:Andre wrote: What will you do?

High speed SD/MMC interface - of course :¬D
It will feature single-button bootstrapping of loader - no tape or ROM code needed. Type LOAD"" (just so machine goes into a fast-mode loop) and hit the button. The device will take control of the bus and put the menu/game/boot-loader directly into memory.
This will work with Internal memory only at the moment though I'm planning a version which has a 32k (8-40k) expansion built-in.

That's most interesting. Sounds like a divIDE for ZX81 actually.sirmorris wrote:High speed SD/MMC interface - of course :¬D

To avoid the divIDE's constructors main mistake, I would suggest also it should save files with SAVE "name".
What files will it use? *.P I hope? Or maybe also TZX?

Re: NEW in 2010 for the ZX81...
To do anything like patching the ROM would take too much effort. So SAVEing, if supported at all, would be of the PRINT USR variety. Sorry.
It will use P files though.
