Was there ever a good Centipede for the ZX81?

A good one, I said, not that crappy Jeff Minter effort with a blank starting screen and no vertical movement.

Seems weird that I can't find any others, it was a staple of the era and should have been well within even the limited capabilities of the Zeddy. If the Atari VCS can manage it...

I did start work on a version, but Melkhior’s Mansion, and trying to make it a perfect clone, got in the way. I may well resurrect it in the future though.

Very true - it’s ruined a few good cups of tea when I’ve been concentrating on coding it instead of pouring the kettle

Anyway, what everyone else said: finish that, it'll be worth it. Melkhior's Mansion can wait!
