To confirm Siggi is correct I also have bigbang ROM and it freezes after choosing game 1 or 2.

I confirm that there is some problem since it didn't work on zesarux (no key was working), while it worked on EightyOne. Didn't try on the real beast tough.

Anyway, it's a fantastic game! Playability as in the initial demo is superb and also the variety of screen is attracting! I've reached reverse in both games but still didn't find the easter egg... let's see 8-)

Playing both games is first thing you need to do.

Question: why is lives at left bottom and not on free space on top?

The level progression is really good, but I'm not able to pass the reverse levels and the lives positioning remains a mistery to me...

Anyway for the global forum hiscore I can post a 2838-3823 :)

SHOGUN 1K

The boardgame SHOGUN from 1979 is now converted to a 1K game for the ZX81.
It needed a full rewrite of the game earlier coded in 16K.

The game starts with the X.

The cursor starts on top,
After a move the cursor remains on the last position.
You play black and make the first move.
Controls are QAOP for movement and Z to select a stone.

If you selected the wrong stone you can deselect it by placing it at an empty field not in range
of the stone.

For the SHOGUN the value of 1 or 2 is displayed as "I" or "Z".
Game over when shogun is hit or just 2 stones remain.
When you win the empty fields change in "+"
When you lose the empty fields change in "-"
A wrong endfield will end in a "?"
When your shogun is attacked the empty fields change inverted.

Re: easteregg 2PAXMAN

Although you still have a few days I am reveiling the easteregg today so you can use it.

On top you have some space where lives COULD be placed, so why is it empty?

It is the same size as the hiscores from game1 and game2, which it is:
IT IS THE PLACE FOR HISCORE OF GAME3.

Even in the menu there is a space between GAME 1 2 REDEFINE.

When both games have a high score you can select game 3 in the menu and 4 extra levels are there to play.
After a full game the hiscore is set and option 3 added to the menu.

This is a very nice touch and a nice surprise!!
(I had no clue anyway before this reveal!!)

PS: high score for game 3: 3257!
(and in my opinion these are the nicest levels! :))
