Actually I would like to add a suggestion to The Author. :)
The mentioned problem might be not aproblem if You add a simple routine: bouncing balls kill the player or take away some time amount from him. If the 'time-matter' is too hard, make just KILL procedure. ;)
Actually at first I thought they DO take away some energy/time, heheheh. :)
But pls, if You make it - let us know, I will update my file (I converted it into WAV and play on the real hardware, even now, while drinking beer, hehehehehe).

Btw, my record is 360 points. :) (More than in "Ferengi" where I have only 210, hehehehehe).

Sir Morris: have You been thinking about above suggestion? I really think the improvement would make it a fine piece of software.

I insist. ;)

(Because I like the game very much :) ).

Does the game call routines for ZXpand joystick, sound or similar I/O-ports?

I ask because it works great in an emulator, but crashes on my real hardware with ZXblast.

I have found that it only works in emulators if they are set for 16k. More RAM will crash the program.

I have configured my ZXblast for 16k RAM only, but it still crashes.

No ZXpand code at all, if I remember correctly. It's written in C for a base machine. It was released 4 years before ZXpand arrived.

The screenshot looks great! I haven't tried running the game on my hardware yet, but I can't get it to work in the EightyOne emulator (Version 1.8) :-(

When I enable 16K and nothing else, the game crashes after the intro (you briefly see "LEVEL 01" before it crashes).

When I enable RAM in 8k-16k, I get a little further: you see the platform on the bottom and the NEXT symbol below, but nothing more happens and the game does not react to any keypress.

Does the game maybe require some more add-ons?

sz81 is able to somehow "run" the game, but very slow and the screen keeps bouncing up and down.

Note that I downloaded BB.P from the announcement thread, as the GAME.zip file in this thread is no longer available.

I should check before I speak :S

The version posted was for ZXpand, and uses its features quite extensively.

Also it's not written in C. Ahem.

I'll find a machine capable of compiling it and post a new binary later.
