Post by yerzmyey »

I found it here http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=53834 although I haven't seen this yet.

Hehe, I finally got around to registering an account here, and then I find out that someone has already posted a link to my demo!

Well, at least I can inline a screenshot for everyone to see :) :

Also, if you are too lazy to wait for the four minute load via tape interface to watch it on your ZX81, here's a YouTube video I captured from my own composite-modded ZX81:

Sdw, nice to see You here, on the Forum.
Maybe it's not too big but still it's the biggest international ZX81/TS1000/1500 forum in the world, haha. ;)

I'm sure I also posted here (somewhere) the "Severely Limited Capabilities" demo too.

Btw, would be nice if You'd find some time to take a part in the "1K coding compo":
viewtopic.php?t=224

The only problem is that the demo must be in BASIC. ;)

At the moment we have 4 entries. By me (the worst one :) ), by Johny, by Factor6 and by Gasman.
Hopefully this is not the end.

Somehow it started to be some rule that most people taking a part in ZX81 compos, come from outside of ZX81 scene.
Weird.
Although it might be good too - often such 'new' people stay with ZX81 after the compos, hahaha. ;)

Nice initiative with the compo, however I don't think BASIC is the thing for me, I'm an assembly kind of guy! :)

Btw. I have a new demo for 16kb expansion in the works, with some stuff that at least I think has never been done on the ZX81 before. However, since I'm a newbie, maybe I'm wrong and it is all old and known before, but I guess we will see when I get around to finishing it! ;)

Well, considering there is only few ZX81 demos, then You will be pobably the first with Your ideas. ;)

It's a shame that the demo doesn't infinitely loop (that is until there's a RAM Pack wobble or the computer crashes), because it'd be cool to leave it running whilst people admire it rather than having to load it over and over.

Regards,

Shaun.

I actually created a looping version, it is uploaded as an attachment to one of my posts in a thread about my other demo:
