Hm, if I could have a humble request.

I was wondering of using the ZX81 on our AY-Riders' concerts (dunno at the moment if it's even possible because of power problems, but I hope so) and theoretically I'd do it from SoundTracker but I'm not totally sure (I will write about it later in a proper thread), however just in case it would be nice to have some another option.

Would it be possible to make a version of P2 player (playing full songs) but with one additional
IF INKEY$="S" THEN stop music
in the loop of 'playing music' procedure
and then I could press "N" to load in silence the next song.

And then - after loading - there would be another IF INKEY$, namely:
IF INKEY$="P" THEN start music

Sorry for troubles but mostly we play one guy by one, so I would must have some STOP possibility.
If it's not a problem.

That is absolutly possible, only needs a small change, Of course you would need to rename the STC files so that they load in the correct order... but that simples.

@ moggy do you want to modify your program or shall I ?

Thanks for the video Yerz!!
The stuff rulez like hell, dude.
Actually I already posted the video on WOS, AtariArea (hahaha!!) and two chiptune portals:
http://chipmusic.org/
and
http://8bc.org/
because NOW it could increase the interest not only in the full ZXpand combo, but ALSO in ZX81 itself, if it is SO oldschool (even in a visual design) but still has modern possibilities (SD card) and chiptune sound.
And not only this - I also empasized the stuff works on Timex 1000 (!!) because there are maaaany Americans among chiptuners.

Actually it wouldn't be a problem at all, becasue more/less that's what I do on ZX Spectrum and divIDE.
For every concert I put music block in a TAP file in required order.

I'm taking a bit of a back seat here - I think everything is under control :)

If you need any file conversion utilities for the PC I can help with this.

I'm hoping to order the same combo at some time soon, but I hate the idea of potentially frying the chips or similar as I get it all set up. I'm a software man - all this hardware stuff is amazing but I haven't a clue about it!

If someone orders the two units together, it would make sense to send them ready assembled.

However, in Yerz's case, as he wanted to also be able to use the MrX Sound Interface, I thought it best to leave them disconnected, so that he could see how they go together and would have the necessary chips (as I 'presume' he would not plan on using the MrX interface and the ZXpand-AY at the same time!) :)
