I was wondering - should the files be prepared first, somehow? Converted into b/w? What about format? (256/192?)

Reading the readme.txt file is too hard for people not from this planet;)

I prepare some improvements to BMP Viewer.

I have tested this useful program and find it excellent. I have also tried to load an image - this did not work.
Now I have noticed that in the help (Shift + H) the version is 1.6.
I've downloaded the file CMDR-1.7 from the first post. Is this really version 1.7? ;)

TXT-files' reader would be nice too, heh.

Oops - I think my have made a little mistake there

If you can look at BMP files then it is 1.7.

@Yerz - ??? You can view TXT files from the program as of version 1.6... Do you mean something else?

Sorry - I've tried it first with the emulator Eighty-One - no chance loading a TXT or a BMP ;)
Now I've tried it with the real ZX81 an ZXpand - here is the result:
TXT-Viewer: no problem - really helpful
BMP-Viewer: works great - after showing the picture on screen the Enter Key doesn't work anymore - you can't start a program, change a directory or start another BMP File.

Idea: A slideshow programm - you do that programm in a folder and it shows all picures in that folder. You can only choose the time the picture is shown. :-)

Done...it's the same behavior as before ;)
New line doesn't react like expected....sometimes the ZX81 is shutting down after a few seconds - black screen - after reconnecting the power supply he starts again.
After watching a BMP and restarting the ZXpand-Commander it's ok.... ;)
The size of the BMP is about 6 KB - is this too much?
