Rare ZX81 ROM chip?

Post by Moggy »

A very early zeddy for sale on ebay sporting a ROM chip made by American company SS-Solid State Inc. and not the usual NEC,Motorola, SGS or Mostek devices.
Can't say I ever seen one before.

VERY VERY LATE EDIT!

Someone has kindly pointed out (privately bless him, I'm in your debt sir) that not only has this been mentioned before but I'm the forgetful Klutz that made the post!!

We have now entered the Spring system. Standby alert! Summer approaching :!:
Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb.

Hmmm it may seem that elsewhere is also applicable. Time I bid this forum adieu I think before I become regarded as a bigger joke than I already am. :(
