This is driving me crazy.
So I want to run the Commander program on my ZXpand, so after rereading the threads I upgraded the EPROM using my burner to v6.0, and I put the zxpandfw.bin file in a newly formatted 4gig SD card, plugged the SD card in to the system and powered up.
All I get it the ZXPAND INTERFACE 1.1 message. (which is new since the v6.0 ROM upgrade. I was previously on v3)
I've tried pulling the power multiple times and powering up again. I've tried formatting the SD card from my Mac and my PC too. I've tried holding the reset button for 5+ seconds. Nothing seems to jolt the ZXpand into flashing the firmware.
What am I doing wrong???

Why cant I flash my ZXpand?
Re: Why cant I flash my ZXpand?
Found this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=576&p=5134&hilit=pr ... pand#p5134
talking about formatting as FAT vs FAT32. This fixed my problem.
Now I'm going to look into how to get Commander to auto run.

Re: Why cant I flash my ZXpand?
Good job on fixing your problem.
You can make commander auto-run by saving it to the card as MENU.P
Next you need to type:
CONFIG "C=7F"
After the next reboot you should have an auto-running commander! If you don't want it to start for any reason, then hold shift when resetting.

Re: Why cant I flash my ZXpand?
That helps a lot.
100% working, and I upgraded the firmware to v2.2 and the ROM to v6.6 just to be safe.
Thanks for the awesomeness.
