So Mr Bond, are you looking for an address decoder? Or just a Zeddy bus interface adaptor?

The mageco has two PCBs and this schematic is only the controller board.
The other has decoder logic, the EPROM and the printer IF on it.

Here we go.
Schematics and layout for both PCBs.
Eagle 3.55 format and PDF.
And the ROM image too.
Feel free to check and correct!

hello kai ...

there are two connectors at the first interface which is fixed on the zx81 . A connector for the floppy disk and a connector for a printer (type Seikosha gp50 or gp100)

I have two Mageco systems ... the second system has a small switch on the interface that is fixed on the zx81 . this allows to switch to a different menu.

this menu is different from the first version of the mageco system ...

I will try to make screenshots of the menus I have using the first version of mageco ...

kai, you had to forget something ... it was you who installed the floppy disk 3.5 inches .. because when my floppy disk was down, the floppy disk was a 3 inches .... you had changed the floppy disk to put a 3.5 inch .. I do not know if you remember that

excuse me for my english

bye bye kai .. best regards

I don't remember all the details after the years. It should work with 5.25" drives too.
As I know there was the Menu2 item so the ROM is 3.0.

Hi,

Did the Mageco manual ever get translated to English?

Second, might there be any PCB's available? I did download the zip, I don't have Eagle. I can work with gerbers.

Follow up to my previous post.

I downloaded the free version of Eagle and created the Gerbers. I have the files uploaded to OSH park.

Are the PCB layouts verified working? If so I can share the OSHpark links. For each design it costs just over 64$ for 3 boards.

That’s the most expensive pcb manufacturing I’ve seen in years. For that price you get the pcb with components soldered on shipped from China.
