TS1000 Membranes

Post by RWAP »

Would there be enough interest in replacement TS1000 keyboard membranes? I have a quote based on getting 50 made - but it would mean end price would be £25 each......

That would be about $31US? Shipped or not?

Is this the entire keyboard assembly with overlay or just the membrane?
I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we've passed the audition.

Shipping would be extra to these prices. but it is not expensive, as I can send these letter rate (£2.45 to the USA).

They are an entire unit - the same as the existing ZX81 membranes:

I have a TS1000 with the ZX81 Membrane and I'm perfectly happy. So I have a TS1000 that "speaks" the proper English :). I forget that we Americans speak English with an American accent.

I suppose if I wanted one that is twice the normal  size that means it would cost around $1250 for minimal quantity of say 12(based on area of lamination)? $100 each? :?

Anybody want an enlarged membrane for homebrew cases?

Hmm - 4 x the surface area - possibly - no idea without asking, but probably less than that (!) - not sure what you would want 12 double sized membranes for...

I would want 1 or 2 hoping others might be interested in using them on their large cases designs.

Is it possible to make a single pattern (2 color) for printing that has two small and one large (or 3 to 1) to make both at same time.

But what about the ribbon? :?

But considering I am the only one interested this is a intellectual exercise.

Just an update - Tynemouth Software have now produced some overlays which can go over a standard ZX81 membrane in order to create a TS1000 membrane version - see http://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/detail ... rlay-27573
