to get the file to a 1541 I made a cable that connects from a parallel port to the 1541 connector ,, and use a program called Star Commander.. it comes up with a split screen one side will be the PC... C: or A: drive the other the 1541 8,9,10,11 device.. drives ect.
and it has a command to copy a file back and forth,,, works great,,,

When you try to load the 15412 or 15412a from the 1541 to the TS1500 it must auto run ,, so you can't save it to tape but you can the old ver 1.1 file and it is my understanding that you need a simple basic prg, to load it to the 28C64 in the ZX1541..

Thanks Again,, for your reply,,,

Regards Mike

I have a copy of star commander, but I have never used it or built the cable. So do you just copy over the .p file?

I pulled out my PC and I have uploaded a .wav file that I found. I can't be 100% sure what version this is for (however It's probably the 8192 entry point), but please give it a try if you like. If it doesn't work, then let me know and I'll see if I can convert the correct .p files to .wav files for you.

I think I sent the diagram for the cable If you are intrested I can send you the web site address that explains all you need to do.. yes you just copy the file from your PC to the 1541 drive then you can just load it onto the ZX81 TS1000 1500 ect.. very simple....

The file 1541f is the older ver 1.1 ..

again thanks

Thanks for the schematic.
I had previously mounted my SD card from my µIEC on my PC and I could see my ZX files (just the names, no file type)...I thought then maybe I could copy a .p file directly to the SD card and wondered if it would work. At the time I assumed it wouldn't so I didn't try, now I want to give it a go...

I converted the two .p files (zx1541.p and zx1541a.p) to wav for you. I hope this helps.

So I pulled my ZX81 out of storage today for 2 reasons.
Firstly I wanted to prepare everything for mounting into a suitcase enclosure, and secondly I wanted to try copying a .p file directly to the SD card from my Powerbook, and then see if it ran on the ZX81 from the µIEC...amazingly it worked with no problems at all...it's just too easy.

Now I can fill up my SD cards with lots of goodies.

Thats great with the SD cards,, really makes it easy.. I have one Of Jareks IECATA interfaces that you can connect a IDE drive or a CF card,, That works like a gaint 1541 drive.. I use that wit the ZX1541 ,, never thought of putting the CF card in my laptp to transfer PRG's .. gonna try it now..
Also thanks for the ZX15412.p files.. after loading into my TS1500 with the ZX1541 attached with blank 28C64 it loaded in the The EEPROM.. Now it works just fine ,, I like the NEW LOAD feature giving you the ability to list and load.. ver 1.1 didn't have that..

Again thanks...

Is there any chance to repost firmware files for ZX1541 ?
I have binary dump of eeprom but would be better to have it in .P file...

Thanks in advance
