ZX80 - ZX81 Upgrade kit.

Post by Fwapp »

Daft question, but was the ROM that was supplied to convert the ZX80 into a ZX81 (sort of) essentially the same as the standard ROM in the ZX81?

i.e. - can I take a ROM out of a ZX81 and pop it in a ZX80 and it'd work?

i think so, i tried using a zx81 rom in a zx80 and it works, apart from no 'slow' mode, as to be expected...

Yes, the ZX81 ROM (either the old bugged, or the new bug fixed) chip will work in a ZX80 ;)
