Gah - should have googled 1st ;)

See: QSave - http://zx81stuff.org.uk/zx81/generated/ ... QSave.html

This doesn't have a pc-based encoder. It should be possible to work backwards from the z80 code though.

HiLoad on the other hand - http://www.zx81.megahospedagem.com.br/files/hiload.zip

Does have a tool. And it comes with a wicked game too.

I haven't tried these - let us know how you get on!

Many thx for the explanation.

I also think, btw, that *.p -> fast load wav converter would be brilliant thing.

As for emulators, of course I use them too - mainly for coding/drawing.

But easy fast-loading for a real machine - that would be something! :)

Greetz!

Hi,
I do use a General Electri Data Recorder, this unit comes with interfeces for Atari 8 Bit, Commodore 64 and of course you can use it without the interface module just as ordinary tape recorder. I have a couple of those and I recomend it becasue works really fine.

The z88dk's appmake tool now is able to generate wav also basing on third party programs (dumb mode).
A speed-up option is included-
