5 volt regulators

My usual source of Murata 5V switch mode regulators has dried up due to supply issues and this seems to be fairly common based on some quick searches.

I am looking to replace the zeddy regulator with an affordable efficient one so I can ditch the heat sink.

Does this look suitable?

I assume the pinout is the same as for a 7805? It says direct replacement for 78XX series but reading datasheets well enough to know I’m not about to blow something up is not a skill I have.

As long as they are rated at least 1 amp should be ok.

Both have to be horizontally mounted and link wires used which isn't a big deal I would have thought.

Thanks Moggy. I used to use something similar to that but remember then being over a tenner so didn’t look for them this time around.

At a fiver they are a no brainer. Which is handy with my current mental state.

Edit - ordered enough to keep me going for a while.
