I agree with Paul, decent connectors are the answer. For example the ones found on the ZXpand+ grip the motherboard like a vice and are virtually wobble free whereas the inferior stuff just means constant white-outs.

Well ok, I'll revisit. Notice that I plan to use right angle connectors so that the added board lies flat on the table behind the ZX and not at 90 deg to it in harms (& wobble) way. I see the suggested source also has that style.

I have 30-odd of these connectors that are functionally identical to the ones used on the Zxpand boards, the only difference being pin length (mine are a tad longer @15mm) and number of contacts (mine have 100 per).

These were a custom production order item with a 50-piece minimum @ $4.00 each. If anyone is interested, I will sell them at cost plus the normal US to UK shipping.

They are serving me no purpose sitting on my shelf.
