Oi, man,

Also I don't know how popular TZX files are and if they are any other ZX81 files (there was something... *.81?) but I wouldn't push too hard, I suspect the P handling would be enough.

I know, I just wanted to be precise, maybe I should improve my English on something batter than 60s dubbing for "Godzilla" movies or occasional apperaing of cockney in the newest "Doctor Who" series. :) :) :) :) :) :)

Oh, how kind of You.

Anyway, what I mean is: on Spectrum, to load progs from TAP files via HDD and ZXVGS system, I had to replace ROM. It appeared that now I can load TAPs but I can't load progs from regular tape-recorder.
I would prefer to avoid such a situation regarding to my ZX81, You know.

Sorry for off-topic.
Therefore I would like to add: AY is desirable. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

The zero-modification zx81 is something I have on my horizon.

The AY chip fits my criteria for IO so it might replace the 8255.. Hmm. AY, 4+4k... This could be a go-er.

Watch this space.
