I had never heard of them before either. It is a 16K RAM pack (http://www.zx81stuff.org.uk/zx81/hardware/JRS16K and http://www.zx81stuff.org.uk/zx81/hardwa ... 800054.jpg) . It also came with the instructions and the pack in game Alien Attack. I need to get round to testing the game but I think the RAM is ok.

For U.K. subjects only: oh, look at how many U.S. dollars there were to Sterling back then... :(

Back to the subject, have you peeked ( ) inside :?: If yes, does it use 4116 (or equivalent) DRAM chips? And can you post photos
Note I suspect there are four screws and two are hidden under the label. If it’s working, and/or you don’t want to disturb the label, don’t worry about my curiosity, I’m fine if you want to leave it undisturbed.

Back in the days of nearly 2:1. A long time ago.

It is indeed working (has happily run The Gauntlet for a couple of hours now) and I suspect you are right about two screws under the label. Removing the lower two did not allow me to open it.
Even the tape loaded and ran Alien Attack!

Just realised I never added a photo of the inside of the second zeddy.

Alternative thread title...

Lardo opens a new assembly line.

(Sorry just had to)

Good to know that freshly refurbished zeddies will find their way, possibly to a new generation of 8-bit users. :D

A beautiful condition, boxed and working zeddie. Although I have not tested the PSU yet.
