I just spotted this on sellmyretro.com -

Does anyone have any details about it - it looks very professional and may help those struggling with loading / saving to tapes!

I guess this is quite a rare piece of kit - not many users would want to buy an interface to make multiple tape copies - looks as though it is useful for checking the quality of the recordings too !!
A 50 page manual for the device though - cripes!!

Hmm - I just realised, there is no D9 port for the RS232 - just a 3.5mm jack - it would be interesting to know how you would wire that up to a printer!

The 2 signals of the 3.5 mm jack are sufficient for signals
- GND
- TXD
to transmit serial data to the printer (to its RXD line). So no flow control is possible (no hardware handshake, because RTS/CTS are missing, no software handshake XON/XOFF is possible, because the ZX99 seems not to have a RXD line for receiving from the printer).
So the printer must be fast enough or the software slow enough to avoid buffer overrun in the printer.

Oddly enough I have a ZX-99 manual, although I do not have the device itself

Sorry I have not forgotten this but moving house ended up getting in the way!
It's still on my TODO list though!

Ok, first manual scanned in successfully and converted into a PDF of reasonable size.
There is a second manual which I think covers a rom upgrade or something, I shall scan that another day!
I have no idea who has the copyright for this these days!
