Yes, it is EOL product but still can find it from EBAY at $2-$3 (almost sellers are from CHINA)

The reason I use this CPLD is one member of this forum send me some of this CPLD for free so I have to find something to use it.

As in the last time I got about 50% fake chips from China I am more careful now what I buy.
I prefer reliable sources. It's depending on the chip type.
The DS1302 I bought last time were not working or even crashing my system (different suppliers show different behavior).

I agree, there are many sellers from China that sell fake chips, so far I have not got that experience yet.
By the way I have ask this seller to offer a IC kit, maybe I will try to order.

i have ordered PCB and will sometime buy parts, i have programming stuff for altera already :-) i'm not really a spectrum guy but this looks like a fun project and a good use for one of my empty zx81 cases :mrgreen:
