I saw some zxpands on SMR in the last few days (december 10th) but they were only there briefly. THey're not by sir morris but I think he is working with someone to make new boards.
I can't find the listings now which is a bit strange so if you're after one I'd have a look on SMR and see if the listings reappear?

Charlie informed me some time ago he was handing over Spand production to another party and the ones you saw are indeed those.
From what I can gather they are partly based on early spand 5's as evidenced by the two regulators being side by side on the back of the board, A joystick style port fitting as opposed to the 10 pin IDC fitting found on early spand+ versions and an EPROM fitted as a supply problem with the cpld chip has meant a slight re-design so I've been told.
I cannot say whether this affects functionality in any way but seeing as it has Charlie's go ahead I wouldn't have thought so.

At time of this post this is the screen shot I get.
I have noticed an unusual style of selling insofar as he seems to build-one-sell-one then rinse and repeat judging by the emails I'm getting from SMR saying another is up for sale. and no indication of how many sold or available.
