Well I didn't had the lyrics in my mind.
Could swear it was "no luck today" and not "no milk today. :lol: :mrgreen:

Could also translate as "no milk today - my luck is gone away". :lol:

I have built my SCP... i had a little trouble telling the difference between IC2 and IC6,

IC2 i have used the chip marked 'CO6R' it also has a line above+below the 'C' and a line below the '6'
IC6 i have used the chip marked 'CC6R' it also has a line above+below the 'R' and a line below the '6'

can you confirm this is correct ?

here is an image of the assembled board, Image

The Cap accros the supply pads, is soldered to the track at the bottom i scrapped a bit of the soldermask away so that i could mount the cap away from the pads for the connecting wires.

Regards Andy

P.s i did get the email with the drawing and part locations, many thanks.
what's that Smell.... smells like fresh flux and solder fumes...

Yes this is correct. ;)
It's difficult to photograph the printing on the chips depending from where the light comes.

IC2 = 74LVC2G06 = C06R (2 inverting open collector driver)
IC6 = 74LVC1G386 = CC6R (XOR gate with 3 inputs)

The other boards are finished and well working with 64k9 and 6k49 instead of 68k and 6k8.
Very near timing to 15625 Hz.
Lets wait for the next bag with capacitors. :mrgreen:

PS: By the way - if you turn the upper trimmer 45 degress clockwise you should have maybe a picture without much adjusting.
That's my favourite adjustment. 8-)

Well have here a revised description of ZX81SCP.
Could be that some board have black wire for ground instead of grey due to lack of grey cable. ;)

I have no idea wether this is true or not, but our scanner won't let the File thru.

@Pokemon, could be please verify?

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Norton doesn't find an issue with the file..

PokeMon - where you are talking in the manual about SYNC failures - maybe a picture would help illustrate what this means to the non-technical out there

I just tested it with
https://www.virustotal.com
which have now 43 virus scanners for checking single uploaded files.

So my document doesn't have any virus:
SHA256: 5324a21279f1840f456182de789509f3fa92b65e5d3281346accb87c618cf0b4

File size: 225.3 KB ( 230725 bytes )
File name: ZX81SCP - manual.pdf
File type: PDF
Detection ratio: 0 / 43
Analysis date: 2012-10-12 10:23:31 UTC ( 1 Minute ago )
Even McAfee and McAfee-GW-Edition did not find something. ;)
And it is definetely identical to the document downloaded from this server.
You can try. Maybe safe first to harddisk and then try virus scanner again (before openening).
Could be some issue regarding web protocols when downloading files.
