Work in progress : 1K hires Stupid Cupid

Cupid dropped the sack with lovehearts and the only way to retrieve them is to shoot them out of the sky with his lovearrows
(nicely marked with a "C").

The game plays, but as you can see the size is just 597 bytes.
So what can be added in the remaining 352 bytes?

Controls now:
1 fire
9 left
0 right
NL restart

Btw: on start the displaydata is not cleared. What you see is sysvar needed for loading. Move the first game left and right and
it is cleared for all further games. Yes I can add a CLS, but I went for saving bytes.

Nice game! The shooting is a little monotonous, maybe you could add a horizontally flying heart that sometimes appears on the top of the screen (instead of the falling hearts), just like the saucer in Space Invaders?

This is possible. The hearts will then drop from second line down and on top moving horizontally.

I was also thinking of adding a gameplay with only horizontal movement and going down like spacinvaders

I think it would be better if you would make the vertical ones pause for some time to allow the player to catch his breath again. This would be some sort of a bonus round where the player can score extra points but cannot get killed.

Bonuslevel now working,
still 96 bytes left.

I can add ZXPAND-joystick and redefine keys.

The bonus round looks spectacular. I am once again impressed what you can do in 1k...
