I made a blog 8 years ago ... but it is not up to date ... I hope to update it quickly ...
at the time, I made an article on my floppy disk mageco ... the article is not finished ....
but, it will give you an idea of how the floppy disk works ...
I have two floppy disk mageco .... and one of the interfaces has additional functions in its menu compared to the first interface ...

hello rwap !

did you want information about floppy disk mageco?
at the electronic level I'm not at all specialiste, it's kai who had repaired the floppy disk a few years ago ...

I have two floppy disk with two interfaces ..

the system works like this:

first there is an interface to connect to the zx81 (in this interface there is a rom that manages the menu
then a cable joins an interface that is connected to the floppy disk ...

the system works very well ...
but I think it could be improved (with some good technicians)

It is interesting that the mageco IF works without any controller chip. Only done with LS logic.
As I had tested it worked very stable and not even slow.
But the DOS is some special kind you have to get used to first.

I did wonder if there was an English manual for it = but only out of interest - I have never owned one!

I have an interest in seeing the PCB and the chips!
