I've finally gotten my version of the old arcade game Battlezone complete. Like the arcade version, it's in 3D, however the tanks do not move or shoot. Only the homing missiles are a threat to the player. You get two missiles coming at you of difficulty level two, but only one on level one. The level is over when all tanks are destroyed. You can blow up the cactus' for a few extra points of you want.
I found it pretty fast paced. You can clear a stage very quickly sometimes.
It will run of standard 16k hardware but will run with colour and sound using a Zonix and Chroma interface if you want.
Here's some screenshots.
And here's the game. I made an MP3 version of this and it ran on my real ZX81 so clearly is compatible.

Battlezone for the zx81 is great, and gives you that same anxiety as the original did as you rotate as fast as you can to get a shot off.
Great job!

I had a quick go on this in black & white, but I must give it a try with Chroma.
