Hi all,
I bought my first computer, a 1KB ZX81, back in the early '80s, and I remember using it to plot a distribution function for a Statistics exam at the Siena university, but soon after I sold it (big mistake, but money was tight) to get a ZX Spectrum 16KB, which I still own. As soon as I put together enough money I travelled to Florence to buy the memory expansion chips, which I then installed myself.
While strongly attracted to the QL, it was way too expensive for me at the time. Only a few years ago I started getting interested in old machines again, so that I currently own a significant number of ZX81s and a few ZX80s and Z88s (and many other machines, much to my wife's dismay).
I currently volunteer at the Center for Computing History here in Cambridge, upgrading and fixing their faulty ZX Spectrum donations.
Ciao
Leo

Hey, that’s what computers are for, counting. Hence no need for us computer enthusiasts to keep count of them ourselves. Especially as I’ve lost count

Re: Hello from Cambridge!
Make a website about them, as so did I!
Is Geocities still available?
